- Dane Memedi (Дане Мемеди), a local four year old Roma boy, disappeared on March 27, 2010 from their settlement in Sredorek, a neighborhood in the town of Kumanovo (Куманово). He was playing outside with a wheelchair in the yard of their home when his family last saw him, wearing white corduroy pants and a colorful sweatshirt the day he disappeared. Two weeks later, Mirsada Heldovic (Мирсада Хелдовиќ) vanished from her home on April 12, 2010. She was wearing a red blouse, blue jeans, and black sneakers when she disappeared. She too was taken from her family's yard while playing outside. There were rumors of a suspicious black jeep with Bulgarian license plates loitering near the Sredorek settlement in the days surrounding Dane and Mirsada's disappearances.
