22 years old at the time of his absence (02/19/2012) Córdoba – Province of Córdoba **Other sources say he was 20 Rivera left a Damián Córdoba concert at the Center Stadium (Estadio del Centro) in order to purchase drugs in the Maldonado neighborhood. According to the prosecutor, Rivera was accused of using a fake 100 bill when he paid for the drugs and it started a fight. Although his body was not recovered, they believe Rivera was buried nearby where excavations were occurring. There is also some suggestion that he was later cremated at San Vicente cemetery. Two young men (Pablo and Kevin Rearte), both members of "Colela' (a local family with suspected drug ties), as well as a cemetery employee (Aldo Monje) were later arrested and tried for the crime in 2015. According to police, Pablo held Rivera immobile while Kevin (a minor) shot him with a 45-caliber weapon. Pablo was sentenced to more than ten years, Kevin was also found criminally responsible, and Monje was released based on insufficient evidence. Kevin and Pablo continued to insist that they were innocent at the sentencing. Rivera's mother has made suggestion that she believes police were involved in Rivera's death though why that is suspected is unclear. Police executed a search of the San Vicente cemetery. Rivera was not discovered.
