- On Otober 28, 2001,Mr. Allen and his niece were traveling on James Road when their vehicle was fired upon by Bruce Edward Day. Mr. Allen was supposed to testify at Day's trial, but disappeared around the time of the trial onDecember 17. Mr. Allen was last seen leaving his friend's home on Nathan Road, headed through the wooded path towards his home. In January of the following year, Mr. Allen's friend was arrested in a car with Bruce Day, a search of the vehicle uncovering drugs and drug paraphernalia. Day was found guilty of Mr. Allens murder and sentenced to twenty years. Mr. Allen's remains have not been found.
