- Carmina was originally from Lombardy, Italy but was last seen at approximately 11:00pm (22:00) on August 8, 2017 in Slazburg, Austria. Earlier that year, she suffered from a stroke that left her with memory gaps and an inability to care for herself. She often ran away from home when not carefully watched but was usually brought back to her daughter's home shortly after. It is not known how she ended up in Austria, but it appears she has moved around within the homeless community. On January 30, 2020, a tip was reported of a woman fitting Carmina’s description at a furniture store (Fürbergstraße) in Salzburg. The woman spoke of someone called ‘Ilke’, the name of Carmina’s daughter. There are also reports of a similar woman being seen around Salzburg as early as 2017. An employee at a coffee shop near Fürbergstraße reported seeing the woman and noting her because of her inability to pay. A cleaning lady in the area also believed she saw the woman.
