- Lorene was originally from Florida but was visiting her brothers who lived in Alabama. She was driving her vehicle (a blue Kia Optima) when she left one brother's home on Macon Drive to head to the other brother's home on Lookout Mountain along Bellevue Drive. It is possible that she took the route up the back of the mountain along North Sixth Street and North Eighth Street. Neither she nor her vehicle have been recovered.
