Notes: Was purportedly witnessed on June 4 at Invercargill Airport. He arrived in Dunedin at his hostel and phoned his wife on June 5. He was in Dunedin to attend a month-long medical lecture, but failed to appear for the first class on June 6. Possibly was sighted driving a yellow Lada Niva (1990s) in New South Wales, Australia in 1997, accompanied by a woman and two children. Possibly sighted by his mother in 2003 in Nelson, New Zealand accompanied by a young boy.
