- Notes
- Alan Edmonds was a British journalist travelling through Australia in 1959. He began his travels in London in early 1958 and had kept in regular contact with his family at home. He often hitch-hiked during his travels and was supporting himself with a variety of jobs. His family last received a post card from him dated 7 September 1959 and sent from Alice Springs. It indicated that he was leaving Alice Springs for Adelaide that day. He was reported missing by family after no contact could be made with him. It was believed that Alan was living in North Adelaide upon his arrival from Alice Springs. Concerns are held for his safety and welfare as he has not been heard from since leaving Alice Springs. - Australia Police Notice
