Herbert is in need of medication and typically requires a consistent and regular routine. He is a calm, quiet, and introverted person by nature, but he suffered from psychological disorders. While living in Germany many years prior, he was involved in an accident at the factory. He suffered from a brain injury that resulted in some psychosocial disorders. When his wife could no longer care for their large home alone, the couple moved from Germany to Austria and eventually he moved into the retirement home. He was happy with the place and got along quite well with his roommate. Then, two days before he disappeared, he called his wife to report an unusual phone call he had received. Two police officers (a man and woman) had contacted him and wanted a meeting for the next day. He did not mention the meeting to his wife again and disappeared the day after. Oddly, police later found his phone in his room but saw no signs of any calls made to him. On the day of his disappearance, lunch was served at the senior senter at 1:00pm (13:00), and Herbert was present, eating and behaving as usual. Two hours later, when coffee and cake were served for a snack, he did not appear. Residents went to find him, but the last sighting had been at around 2:00pm (14:00) on the parking deck of the center. He seemed to be waiting for someone or something. He had never left the center alone previously. Distinctive features include his mustache, glasses, and German accent.
