- Notes
- The last sighting of Harry was when he spoke with some friends over the phone during the afternoon. He disappeared from there. It is not clear if this was a case of a disappearance or a suicide. Friends knew that he had discussed heading off to Mexico to restart his life, and police later found that his bank books (savings register) and sleeping bag had both disappeared. Conversely, his vehicle was discovered the following day near the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge. His keys were left in the ignition but there was no suicide note and no sign of him was ever found in the river. An investigation of his apartment revealed that his cat was still there and there were a pair of socks left in the kitchen sink (suggesting he left things unfinished around the house).
