- Lard was visiting a friend's home in Cloverday where he had visited in search of a job. According to witnesses, Lard left with a man known as "Billy" in a vehicle when they went to drop off Billy's girlfriend at her home. It is not known if police were able to locate Billy or obtain any other information from him. Lard did not have a cell phone or bank car at the time so he may be difficult to trace.
