Circumstances

Date of Disappearance
January 1, 1951
Notes
The victim was last seen by her family leaving home in Loon Lake, SK in 1951 for unknown reasons. A family member claimed to have seen her in Lethbridge Alta in 1957; rumors said she may have been in a vehicle accident in Edmonton; and still others said she was heading for a turburculosis sanitorium for unknown reasons. Wherever she was going, she may have been singing or playing music (possibly as a gig). Margaret was originally from the Big Island Lake Cree Nation but was adopted and raised by a family from Pierceland. She may have relocated to Alberta or British Columbia. She left behind both her children (including a daughter and 6-month old son), step-daughter, and her husband.
