- The victim was an American NGO employee working in Afghanistan to improve the rights and success of women and children. She taught English at the Kandahar University and was tutoring girls in embroidery at a local scool. She had lived in Kandahar for three years. She and her driver were kidnapped from their vehicle by unknown suspects at gunpoint. She and the driver are believed to have been killed and buried somewhere in the Kandahar region. There is no known poster of her driver, which we request be made public. Both victims deserve to be found and buried properly.
