Notes
Hair may have been dyed a darker color. On May 29, 2017, Susan Lynn Osborne and her son, Evan Eric Chartrand (Case #2336) left their residence and have not returned. They were living with her second husband, Jerry Marshall Osborne, at the time. Susan had recently discovered that her husband had previously been a gay escort and she believed he was still involved in that line of work. She told friends that she was considering leaving him but that she wanted to try mending their relationship first. According to Jerry, Susan left and took Evan with her; she got into the vehicle of an unidentified man who came back the following day to pick up the rest of her stuff. Neither he nor Susan picked up her vehicle which remained with Jerry. Shortly after Susan and Evan vanished, Jerry re-did his entire home in a remodel which included covering his floors with new carpet. Supposedly because Susan destroyed the home with graffiti as she left. He also burned quite a bit of furniture later in the year. Susan and Evan were reported missing by her family who lived elsewhere and had not heard from her in two months. Previously, she always called them every couple of days so this was unusual. The investigation revealed that Evan and Susan's clothing and possessions had indeed disappeared, but that her vehicle and daughter was still there which was strange. The family's two dogs had been left at an animal shelter on June 12, but by whom is not clear. Beneath the carpet, police found significant blood stains though it is not clear if they were Susan or Evan's. They also discovered that the security footage of the time when Evan and Susan disappeared had been lost after Jerry replaced the program in June. Her friends say that Susan had not mentioned another man and was apparently dedicated to re-building her relationship with Jerry. She has not used any of her cards, her social media accounts, or her cell phone and no one has filled any of Evan's prescriptions. Their direction of travel is unknown at this time. If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Susan Lynn Osborne or Evan Eric Chartrand, please contact the Elmore County Sheriff's Department at (334) 567-5546.
