- On Saturday, May 8, 1999, James Anthony "Amp" Reynolds and five other friends (Lamar Junior Stackhouse, Valerie Jones McCoy, Evla Jossett Lee, Tamara Monique Ward, and Angela Roberts Young) were last seen leaving the Hideaway Night Club in Opp, Alabama at around 3:15am. On September 29, 1999, the car they were riding in was discovered submerged in the Pea River in Coffee County, Alabama. The bodies of the other five people were recovered but James' remains were no found. A dark colored jacket was discovered in the river that is believed to have belonged to him. They believe the vehicle was involved in a vehicular accident. At the time, James was on probation for a drug trafficking charge. He was employed but had been looking for a job with better pay.
