- According to her husband, Dora left her home in the middle of the night and got into lime green Ford LTD (who's is unclear). She did not take any of her personal possessions (dentures, purse, keys, clothes, etc.). Her some reported her missing. In 2003, several decades later, the people living in the Smith home discovered a letter with $200 in an envelope, hidden under the wallpaper of their bedroom. The letter said "They are tyring to take my food away and kill me. Please help me." She has never been found.
