Notes
On Tuesday, November 25, 1997, Karen Steed was last seen at her residence in Piedmont, Alabama. Mrs. Steeds' vehicle - a 1982 beige Ford Fairmont (Alabama license plate 11DW289) - was located on I-20 eastbound about 1/4 mile west of Heflin on Thursday, December 18, 1997. The vehicle was locked and there were no signs of a struggle. Mrs. Steed has worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Some believe that Steed, Burrows (Case #2606) and McFry (Case #2688) may have been killed by Jimmy Steed, Karen's husband. He was convicted for the murder of another woman in 2015 and sentenced to 105 years. Burrows (Case #2606) was last seen leaving the home of the Steed's when he disappeared. His motorcycle was found approximately 2 years later in a ralroad bed behind the Steed's home. ANYONE HAVING ANY INFORMATION SHOULD CONTACT THE ALABAMA BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDRENS UNIT.
