AbOUT THE SUITCASE DETECTIVE
A Global Archive for the Curious & Mysterious
The Suitcase Detective is a mystery website and true crime blog for readers,
researchers, puzzle-solvers, collectors, and anyone who loves following a trail of clues.
Think of us as a well-packed suitcase in the corner of an old detective’s office: a place for case notes, strange stories, forgotten films, curious puzzles, useful resources, and mystery finds gathered from around the world.
What We Do
The Suitcase Detective collects and organizes mysteries in many forms. We are not, by and large, a review site or a commentary site. We are archivists, collectors, catalogers, and sharers.
Our goal is simple: to help visitors discover mystery stories, detective media, true crime resources, puzzles, events, and mystery-themed finds in one thoughtful, searchable place.
Some visitors arrive looking for their next detective novel. Others are searching for an old radio program, a crime podcast, a puzzle game, a mystery drama, or a half-remembered film. We gather the pieces and try to make the trail easier to follow.
A Mystery Archive Without Borders
One of the defining features of The Suitcase Detective is our global scope. We look for mysteries wherever they appear: in books, films, shows, comics, podcasts, games, puzzles, events, art, collectibles, and real-world case resources from around the world.
A clue may begin in a London fog, a Seoul drama, a Japanese manga, a Chinese manhua, a Scandinavian crime novel, an Australian podcast, or a small-town case file. If it belongs to the world of mystery, we want to help preserve the trail.

True Crime
Never Quit Looking
Our true crime section is called Never Quit Looking. It is the part of The Suitcase Detective devoted to real-world cases, public resources, missing persons, unidentified persons, unsolved homicides, police contacts, and responsible information sharing.
Never Quit Looking has its own mission, values, and structure. Here, it is enough to say that it is our true crime branch: careful, respectful, resource-focused, and built around the hope that information can still travel where it is needed.
Archivists, Not Armchair Judges
The Suitcase Detective collects and organizes mysteries in many forms. We are not, by and large, a review site or a commentary site. We are archivists, collectors, catalogers, and sharers.
In the true crime portions of the site, it means remembering that real people are involved. We do not treat tragedy as entertainment. We collect, organize, link, update, and share information with the hope that the right detail may reach the right person at the right time.
