The Storyline

The Plot

The drama is set against the politically unstable backdrop of the Chinese Republican Era in the city of Changsha. A dangerous metaphorical and physical storm is brewing in the surrounding mountains, threatening to upend the region

The narrative focuses on a newly surfaced, highly coveted artifact known as the Treasured Bajia Book. This enigmatic manuscript contains deep-seated secrets regarding ancient burial grounds, hidden mystical mechanisms, and the interwoven legacies of the families themselves. The race to acquire this book triggers escalating tensions between rival factions, military forces, and foreign conspirators who seek to exploit the region’s historical secrets.

To counteract these impending human and supernatural threats, the “Mystic Nine” alliance must put aside past inner conflicts and usher in a new era of cooperation. Led by Zhang Qishan, the clans deploy their specialized tomb-raiding, martial, and investigative skills. The plot highlights the dynamics of the younger generation of the gates, specifically showcasing the cunning strategies of Wu Laogou and the resourceful nature of Huo Xiangu as they attempt to solve the mysteries before a catastrophic force destroys Changsha.
