The Storyline

The Plot

Wu Xie, an unassuming antique shop owner, inherits more than relics of the past. He also carries the legacy of one of China’s most revered tomb raiding clans, the Fifth Family. Driven by cryptic notes left by his grandfather and troubled by the unsolved massacre of his relatives, Wu Xie sets out to uncover both ancient treasures from the Warring States period and the truth behind his family’s bloodstained history. His search draws him into a dangerous world where myth and reality intertwine, and where the pursuit of knowledge often comes at a steep cost. Alongside his companions, Zhang Qiling, a quiet warrior with a forgotten past, and Pang Zi, a loyal and warmhearted friend, Wu Xie awakens long dormant threats beneath the earth. From cursed ruins to mysterious shipwrecks, each discovery reveals secrets that tie his family’s fate to a vast and shadowy network of tomb raiders.

The journey grows darker as Wu Xie follows the truth from the haunted depths of the Xisha Sea to the frozen heights of Changbai Mountain. Joined by rival explorers, mercenaries, and elusive allies such as A-Ning, the Iron Triangle faces both supernatural dangers and human betrayal. In lost palaces and frozen catacombs, they encounter deadly traps, strange creatures, and shifting loyalties. Each step exposes deeper conspiracies tied to national treasures and hidden power struggles, pulling Wu Xie further into a web where survival often demands sacrifice. As the past closes in and the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, Wu Xie must decide whether the truth is worth the cost, or whether some tombs are better left undisturbed.
