โ๏ธ THE PLOT
Reunion: Ping Yao Wang Shi is a short web series spin-off of The Lost Tomb franchise. Set during the Republican era, the plot follows Liu Qianmo and Nanmen Denghai, who are the ancestors of the modern-day characters Liu Sang and Wang Meng from the main Reunion: The Sound of the Providence series.ย
The story shifts the franchise’s typical tomb-raiding focus toward a detective mystery as the two ancestors embark on a suspenseful journey through the ancient city of Pingyao. It serves as a historical “side story” that explores the shared heritage of these families while maintaining the supernatural and investigative tone characteristic of the broader Daomu Biji (Lost Tomb) universe
