🪦Recovery

Date the Body was Recovered: November 3, 2003

Description: On November 3, 2003, the body of an unidentified woman was discovered on the side of a rural road near Malgrat de Mar in the province of Barcelona, Spain. Estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, she was approximately 1.60 meters tall with tanned skin, black hair, and brown eyes. Forensic investigators believe she died around 12 hours prior to being found, and had suffered multiple wounds to her body and face, indicating a violent death. She was dressed in layered clothing, including a black tank top, a greenish-beige Marks & Spencer T-shirt (size EU 36–38), a deep crimson wool jumper, blue Teri Pevi jeans (size 31), black cotton underwear, and grey socks with red and green patterns. Her accessories included several thin metal bracelets on her right wrist, ankle and toe bracelets made of dark thread, and a distinctive Om-symbol tattoo on her right hand. A visible vaccination scar was also noted on her left arm. Based on her appearance and accessories, investigators suspect she may have been of Bengali origin. Despite international efforts and forensic reconstructions, no missing persons report has matched her case. Spanish authorities, in coordination with INTERPOL, have issued ongoing appeals for public assistance as part of the 2024 “Identify Me” campaign, but her identity and the circumstances surrounding her murder remain unknown.
