Synopsis

Plot

In a remote mountain village shaped by old customs and quiet isolation, a series of unsettling events begins to unfold under the light of the full moon. When a young woman disappears, rumors spread quickly, tying her fate to a local legend that few people openly discuss. An investigator arrives to look into the case, but the deeper he goes, the more he finds that the villagers are guarded, their stories incomplete, and their fear rooted in something long buried.

As the investigation continues, past and present begin to blur, revealing connections between the disappearance and earlier incidents that were never fully explained. What seems at first like superstition slowly gives way to a more complex truth involving human choices, hidden relationships, and carefully maintained silence. The story builds through atmosphere and tension, using the rhythm of the village and the recurring pull of the moon to explore how memory, fear, and belief can shape reality.

#️⃣ There are many prequel, sequel, and side stories in the Grave Robber Chronicles universe; however, Echo of Moonfall does not appear to be part of canon. Instead, the show is spin off using characters from one of the larger sequels (Chongqi 2).
