Synopsis

Plot

Wu Xie, weary from his previous forays into mysterious ruins, returns to Hangzhou, seeking a moment of peace. That tranquility is soon broken by a call from his childhood friend Lao Yang, whose voice carries tales of secrets buried deep within the Qinling Mountains. Drawn by the promise of ancient ruins and unfinished stories, Wu Xie accepts the invitation, embarking on an expedition with Lao Yang into fog-shrouded hinterlands, where river valleys hide wonders few have ever witnessed.

Their journey unfolds beneath the shadow of towering peaks and among relics that whisper of civilizations lost to time. Wu Xie and Lao Yang tread paths winding past giant salmon swimming in underground rivers and stand before an ancient sacred tree whose roots thread through the heart of the mountain. Beneath the perpetual intrigue, secretive Zhang Qiling moves unseen, lending help from the darkness, as the companions’ passage through legend and labyrinth in the Qinling Mountains brings them ever closer to the mysteries at the soul of the Grave Robbers’ Chronicles.
