Description: On October 14, 2001, a mushroom picker discovered the completely skeletonized remains of an unidentified woman in the ‘Worringer Bruch’ bog area in Cologne-Worringen, about 220 yards from the town of Senfweg, Dinklage, Germany. The body had likely been at the site for at least four months, possibly up to four years
The woman was estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old (born approximately 1970โ1981), with a height of 160โ170 cm. She had black hair interwoven with artificial hair, and her teeth were in very good condition. Her phenotype was described as African/Mongolian, with a presumably dark complexion (though not confirmed). No scars or tattoos could be determined due to the state of the remains. A facial reconstruction was created in April 2002 to approximate her appearance.
The estimated time of death is between June 2000 and June 2001. The cause of death could not be determined, but foul play has not been ruled out
Time of Death: June 2000 – June 2001. Several months prior to recovery.
