Synopsis

Plot

Misty Creed continues the supernatural adventure saga connected to the The Lost Tomb universe and serves as a follow-up to Conjuring Curse, bringing viewers back into a world of ancient secrets, hidden tombs, and dangerous relics tied to forgotten legends. The story follows Wu Xie and his companions as they are drawn into another mysterious expedition after strange events point to the existence of a long-buried site connected to an old creed said to control powerful forces. What begins as an investigation quickly turns into a perilous journey filled with traps, coded clues, and encounters with forces that seem to blur the line between history and the supernatural.

As the group ventures deeper into the mystery, they uncover connections between the new discovery and past encounters that were never fully explained. Ancient symbols, hidden chambers, and rival seekers all play a role as the team races to understand the meaning of the “Misty Creed” before its secrets fall into the wrong hands. The film continues the Lost Tomb tradition of combining puzzle-driven storytelling with eerie atmosphere and fast-moving action, making it an easy entry point for viewers who enjoy treasure-hunt mysteries with a supernatural edge.

#️⃣ There are many prequel, sequel, and side stories in the Grave Robber Chronicles universe. This show in particular is only loosely adapted from the series and is not considered “canon”. Rather, it is a separate adaptation that used the novels for inspiration. Timeline wise it is best suited to be viewed post-Reunion though.

The best place to find information about the original Chinese edition and the direct translation by Merebear is the translator’s website here. The first few volumes of the main story has been adapted into a series of English Translated volumes and one graphic novel.

⚠️ Please Note: The shows do not directly align with either the original Chinese or the English editions. Nor do the English editions directly align with the original Chinese. Parts are spliced together, cut out, or otherwise edited to create the various adaptations.
