- Notes
- The three siblings were refugees traveling from their home country across the Aegean Sea by boat with their mother. Their original nationality is not public information, but it appears they were local Turkish citizens. On September 11, the boat overturned and sank, leaving the passengers scrambling. Although it was in Turkish waters, the Greek Coast Guard was able to arrive and save some of the victims. Five remain missing, including Ahmed, Aaya, and Sajjid.
