🪦Recovery
Date the Body was Recovered:
Description: A man was found dead in the rough surf along a beach shoreline that had been closed to swimmers due to hazardous weather and large waves. During the inquest in Truro, Detective Constable Jon Dash stated that investigators found no signs of foul play in the man’s death. Authorities collected his DNA and fingerprints, but they did not match any records in national or international police, immigration, or missing persons databases. The man, who appeared unshaven, was discovered in the water. Assistant Cornwall Coroner Stephen Covell explained that the man likely fell from nearby cliffs, sustained a serious head injury, and entered the sea still alive but likely unconscious, ultimately drowning.
