- Andreas and his friend Maximilian (Max) were close friends and had been hanging out the night they disappeared. They played cards with a couple of friends that evening before leaving at approximately 11:00pm (23:00). They call Maximilian’s girlfriend at 12:57am inviting her for a drink but are turned down. He tries again at 1:41am, but can’t get in touch with her. They tried calling a cab just before 2:00am, but couldn’t get one. They seem to have gone ahead and taken Max’s Silver Citroen BX (Registration # UU-883DP). The vehicle appeared on a traffic camera at approximately 2:30am the following morning as it crossed a traffic circle on the Bรถhmerwald-Bundesstraรe in Bad Leonfelden. The driver is unknown but it was headed towards Czechia (Czech Republic). A witness would later testify that they saw the vehicle in Vyลกลกรญ Brod, a town across the Czechia border. Although Max had his phone with him, he did not respond to efforts to contact them. Neither the two friends nor their vehicle has been located. Max: 180 cm tall, 80-85 kg, blue eyes, brown hair. Andreas: Approx. 176 cm tall, corpulent, brown eyes, dark brown hair.
