Christian was a professional tiler who disappeared on December 5, 2017. The family spent the day at home and there were no signs of anything happening out of the ordinary. Although he had plans of becoming self-employed and eventually moving into his own apartment, he had never given any sign that he would leave abruptly or without prior warning. That afternoon, he ate lunch with his mother at home and they relaxed in the house. Then at approximately 9:00pm (21:00), they ran out of cigarettes and Christian said he would run to a vending machine around the corner to get some more.
After half an hour passed, Christianโs mother tried calling him but got the voicemail. She later found that the phone was left at home, turned off and in a drawer. There has been no sign of Christian since.
His mother is concerned that his occasional smoking of hashish was perhaps a bigger drug issue than she knew, being one of his few vices. He had taking up smoking the drug after the death of his father which he struggled with. He had recently borrowed 600 Euros from his best friend for reasons unknown.
